I didn't care at all for the harder tracks. However, I so fell in love with the Snakefarm track that I immediately went and picked up a used copy of this album. It's fantastic! Thanks for introducing me to them. Great find.

Don't know about Petra Haden but this Miike Snow track is really nice. Reminds me of Gnarls Barkley.

RE Spliceway to Heaven - very creative but a HEADACHE to listen to

Nice long show. Some really great tracks in there. I didn't realize that CCR's career was so short -- nice trivia.

RE the Leonard Nimoy track: trying to fail even worse than Shatner but failing... does not equal success

I think this is the first industrial/darkwave song I've ever heard on this show. Very nice.

My spouse and I constantly argue about Stevie. Is Stevie Wonder's music mediocre disposable schmaltz or is he the king of soulful funk? "I just called to say I love you", "My Cherie Amor" and "Ebony and Ivory" may be heartfelt by Stevie but it's all just so much muzak to us. That said, if I had to list off my favorite songs of all time, "Superstition" and "Sir Duke" would come very close to the top. All I have to do is hear the first few notes to either of these and I involuntarily grin ear to ear. I wasn't that big on "I Wish" but after hearing this version I'm pumped about it. That was spectacular.

Thanks for this great Coverville and thanks also for focusing on his funk era.
