I also think that terms should be limited to two for any office. There should be NO lobbying jobs for politicians who are leaving office and returning to the private sector. They should have the same access to health care as the average American, and NO BETTER, at out expense. Insurance should be provided with their co-payment while they are in office and stop when they leave. They should be forced to pay into the bankrupt Social Security and Medicare systems and then they would be better stewards. They should have to have other jobs to do in the private sector when NOT in session or doing their jobs in Washington. They should be paid for the work they do when they are is session, and depend on their own private jobs to make up the difference. They should NEVER be allowed to give themselves a pay raise! With the way they are completely disregarding their sworn duties to this country and us, they don't deserve to be paid!

I would like to see the elected officials, be they democrat or republican, have the same issues to deal with daily that we do. I would like to see any high-ranking government official pump their own gas or idle their fuel away behind the wheel of their own car in traffic with the rest of us. Or buy their own lunch...It would be interesting to see what they chose to eat if they were paying the bill instead of us. Would they drive or fly as much if they had to pay their own way? I would like for them to worry about their insurance premiums going up and whether or not their health insurance will cover tests they need or deny them like us. I wonder if they think about how much their retirement plans have lost due to the echonomic collapse...oh, wait...they have their own retirement and health care package for life!
