Dick Cheney is one of the few Republicans left who has the guts to speak the truth, no matter the backlash. I'm thankful for the 8 years we were fortunate enough to have such a smart, principled man as our Vice President. Every time I think about our current Vice President, I shudder ... and I say a prayer for the safety of this country I love so much.

Our area already has a government program like this in place -- it's administered through the local welfare system (our tax dollars hard at work!). My experience with it has been that the recipients don't appreciate the cars they receive, they don't care for them properly, and they don't hold down the jobs they promised they would when they got the car.

I'm a single parent who earned my car the old fashioned way -- by working two jobs and paying for it myself! I appreciate and take care of the things I've worked very hard for.

I co-directed a support program for single parents through my local church. We gave away a couple of cars, but our program was very different from the local welfare program, in that we required much more accountability.

I believe that programs such as these are much more successful when they're run by local church or civic organizations. Unfortunately, Pres. Obama is working very hard to ensure that local churches will no longer have the wherewithal financially to provide help and aid to their communities.

If the new Iraqi government prefers we leave, we should absolutely honor their request. Eventually they need to learn to stand on their own. Unfortunately, they are in a very precarious position, with neighbors who I suspect are foaming at the mouth, just waiting for the US military to leave. But we can't occupy forever.

Israel is the only country I can think of that has managed to survive and even thrive with aggressors all around. And I believe that's because God's hand of protection has been on that country.

Well said, Mcubed!! I think it's wise that we take reasonable precautions (hand washing, etc.). But we must not lose sight of the many very scary things that are taking place right now, thanks to the Obama regime.

I've heard it's beautiful, too. I just re-checked the map, and it looks to be germ-free, and hopefully free of the deadly archeobacteria cowlord discovered in Antartica!

Bummer.... That map is very deceiving -- it looked like the perfect, germ-free destination! Thanks for the warning, cowlord. Guess I'll just sit tight right here in good ole' PA. Besides, then I'll have the pleasure of voting for Toomey in the next Congressional election!
