Our schools are missing, and our children are worse off for it, the teaching of good christian values. But, since everybody is bent on the separation of church and state it's up to the parents to instill values, ethics and love for others into their children. I can't see anybody, even if they aren't a christian, disagreeing with the idea that the instilling of Christian values, and not the warped ones of a small church group that I shall not name, is a bad thing.

I truly am saddened by all of this and all I can do is use it to strengthen my own resolve and teach my children love others even more deeply.

I totally agree Nancy. If each one of us were to ensure that our children understand and are equipped to make a real difference, then things like this wouldn't happen. In my opinion it all boils down to instilling good Christian ethics into our children.

Well said Stan. Like I said in the post. our kids are our future and it sounds like you are doing your part to ensure that our country becomes as great as it once was. I do like the ornament idea. In fact we are going to make one as well. One of my favorite things about putting up the Christmas tree each year is in remembering what each ornament means, it's time we put up a new one.
