I know exactly what you're saying. There is nothing harder than diving into the unknown, but taking the route that feels "safe" has resulted in so many failures for me.

Isn't it amazing how someone can be so naturally good at something that they cannot even comprehend the difficulty others have with it? I've been on both sides of that exchange - I was the guy who was good at calculus :-P - and it's always frustrating for both parties.
