Mark my words: Indonesia is an entrepreneur powerhouse.

The country is on a nearly 100% capitalist regime, with all its good and bad side.
What's happening is, in a culture where solidarity is an instinct more that an trait, wealthier people like Ciputra, Bakrie, Putra Sempoerna, are getting tired of seeing their country pulled down by brain leakage and improper access to education. So they're taking the education of their hard working, clever fellow Indonesian in their own hands.

Most of the time it's out of real concern, and not just a PR move.

The archipelago is still very young and emerging from a huge political crisis after a long colonial period, and the political system is still too immature to support the citizen, but it's also a gigantic online community, the second on Twitter, the first on Facebook mobile.

The new world order will be online, not on land. I move there believing that, in 10 to 15 years from now, Indonesia will see an unprecedented growth and technological involvement. I'll cut my left pinkie if I'm wrong.

Indonesia still suffers from many things, rnugent.
First of, they have their own hangover from the Dutch occupation an the political crisis of 98, that left them with a young (sorry) rather immature government, not yet ready to take care of 250 millions people, let alone the economy.
But this is changing, everything is grwoing very fast, and the next generation, the "online" generation will certainly boost the country in a way probably never seen before.
