I would not be driving in his blind spot and would have been holding back enough not to be effected by his turn. Besides, I do my best not to follow trucks on the right and never pass one on the right. Safety first and all. I drove trucks in the Army and civilian side. I know where the blind spots are and keep my ass out of them.

I never said I was against bicyclists. I just have no sympathy for them when they pull something stupid and get squashed. But I know where you can find sympathy if that is what you are trying to find here Broncobilly25. Look in the dictionary between crap and syphilis. That is the only sympathy you will find around here if YOU do something stupid and end up on the Darwin Awards list. And that is because you are being such a stupid jerk. JMHO

I have never purposely cut anyone off. And I apologize here in this public forum to anybody I have ever accidentally cut off. But you are a troll. So go take your bicycle on a long ride off a short pier.

I was referring to you knowing better you putz. Get a life. I never said she did not have the right of way. I said fighting for right of way with a bike against a car or fricking truck is stupid and deadly. You would think someone who lived 28 years would know this. She had the right of way. The driver obviously did not see her. She obviously assumed the driver saw her. She is dead. What good did the right of way do her? She is just as dead as if she had not had the right of way. I am saying, some times it is better to surrender right of way and live than to fight for it and fricking get squashed. I'm sorry she got herself squashed, but there is nothing we can do about it but learn from it. Do you understand yet or are you so fricking stupid you Can't Understand Normal Thinking?

Hey lips, nice to see your still moving around.
I have worked as a Journalist and have my degrees. I can tell you, the cops give you a little news release. It has on it all the info they are 'WILLING' to give at that time. The writer then has to take that and start digging for the truth from within it and talking to witnesses. The cops don't give much info they are trying for convictions and don't really care about truths. Just quotas to keep Joe Public happy and thinking they are doing their job for their pay check. Why do you think DNA evidence today is freeing so many wrongly convicted in the past?
Now then we have the beliefs of the writer to filter out in the story also. It is not an opinion peace by the writer, it is a news story. The writer's opinion does not have any place in a news story. It is a statement of facts or mis-facts discovered. A good reporter starts into a story with an open mind reports the facts found and keeps his/her opinion out of it. A good opinion writer starts into a story with an opinion and then develops on it from there. Let us in this case say that the police are keeping their more info to themselves at this time to get the conviction. Maybe we will hear more details after the case has gone to trial and they fry the tax payers, by making them pay to keep this murderer behind bars for too few years to come.

If it was my relative, I would feel just as bad for them as I do this nice person who died. It does not take away from the fact that you have to look out for number one or you might become number 2. And even a kindergärtner knows what number 2 is. And it does not take away from the fact that if she had been a little more aware of her surroundings, she might not have been hit by the truck. And it still comes down to, you have to look out for number one and assume the drivers do not see you. The only point I see from you is the one on top of your head you comb your hair over. For any way you look at it, if you continue to go through life demanding the right of way on a bicycle against cars and trucks, chances are you will get plowed under one of them some day. If that should happen, be sure to wear a helmet so we will know the grease spot in the middle of the road under the flattened out bicycle helmet is you and not just a spot left by someone draining the oil from their car or truck. But then, if you do get squashed on your bicycle, I will promise I will not feel bad for you. For I find it hard to feel bad for a person who became a grease spot out of their own stupidity when I know damn well they should know better.

Broncobilly25, I never said it was the bicyclist's fault. I never said it was the truck drivers fault. I just said that I live my life looking out for my own ass. For if I do not look out for my own ass, someone else is definitely not going to look out for my ass for me. If you do not look out for yourself on a bicycle, you best not ride one. Same goes for the motorcycles I have rode over the years. I looked out for number one and did not ever assume the other guys were not blind and could actually see me just because they have a drivers license.
And if you on a bicycle or I on a motorcycle get hit and killed by someone who we assumed saw us and did not, Just because we had the right of way, is not going to bring us back from being fricking dead. Look out for your own ass. Nobody else is going to, they are all frickin BLIND! Back up until you hit something, then pull forward two inches, Helen Keller Driving Academy Graduates. Am I speaking your language yet? Or are we going to be reading about you in the news as the next victim to arrive at the pearly gates to tell Saint Peter, "But I Had The Right Of Way! "
