I believe what Mr. Beck is trying to get across is that he wants these tea parties to not be about politics but be about AMERICA. Back when the original tea party happened, it wasn't to protest a political party, it was to protest an oppressive government. If we start turning these tea parties into blame that party/politician or blame Obama, then we lose out on the whole idea of this movement, UNITE or die. There is no unification in making these tea parties political, especially when BOTH parties have messed everything up. We automatically isolate people when we approach this as a political rally. This is supposed to be about America taking her country back from politicians that have grown corrupt. BTW Mr. Beck never said "don't have political signs" he simply said that if he attends a tea party he wants to attend one that is a UNITED PEOPLE wanting their country back, not a political rally.

As scary as this is, it is very difficult to actually pass an amendment to the constitution. Even with the Dems holding the majority in both houses, they would still need 3/4 of the states to approve an amendment, and each of those states would have to approve by a 2/3 majority. You can read more here:

The page does a good job of showing how the constitution is amended and how it has been changed by many in our culture seeing it as a living document... actually, THAT is what you should be terrified of, not this bill. Obama didn't win enough states and I can promise you there are a lot of people out there who voted for him, but wouldn't be ready to go this far. We need to focus on things that may actually become law, like the GIVE Act.

I'm sure we need "Peaceful" demonstrations. If we result to violence then we accomplish nothing other than to play right into the hands of the people we are fighting against. By being peaceful they can't say we are a danger and we don't devolve into a mob mentality that many liberal "peace protesters" seem to do almost every time they protest. Don't forget MLK refused to be violent and he and his cause were more successful than those who advocated violence. His legacy still lives on for a reason.
