I hope when he is caught that Lillian Buti, who thinks this is funny, is not picked to be on the jury at his trial.
I'm sure they looked "full grown" to him given his circumstance, but adult bears do not normally travel in a pack. It probably was a mother and her "large" cubs. Anyway at least he lived to tell about it.
All that wining and dining did little for Penn's fire department which is one of the trustee's primary responsibilities. Their budget got cut in half!! Looks like the taxpayers need to get Dean focused on his priorities with a swift kick in the pants. No wonder the Governor wants to abolish township goverment.
While the college shouldn't be held responsible for this student's bad choices, I commend them for taking action against the fraternity.
While I agree that the individual needs to be responsible for his own actions, I know that the college experience and peer pressure play heavily on one's moral code and upbringing. And most college's, while they may have a written policy on drinking on campus (to cover their butt), really do not enforce it. Perhaps they need to dock a student's GPA for each offense of providing or consuming alcohol on campus.
Let's see...........Thousands show up to watch "anything goes" cage fighting.......wrestling has turned into brawls, using chairs and tables as weapons.............fans cheer as professional athletes level opponents during games.......fights break out in the stands at soccer games. All of this is tolerated and in many ways encouraged. Respect and values are a thing of the past.
He'll hire a lawyer who will argue that his client does not believe in banks and he was late for an appointment and could not wait for the officer to write his ticket. For that brilliant defense the lawyer will collect $900,000.00
Well, it didn't take them long to get started. They have been back to school, for what?...........a week? And already getting blitzed.
No, flh, This does not follow the intent of the law. It was designed improve areas for economic growth. New turf on a school football field does nothing to improve economic growth in the area. Plus there are other areas in Mishawaka that could have put the money to better use.
PENN54MOM: The focus of a school should be on education, not sports. Education will last forever, not so a million to one shot at professional sports. The way this nation is going, the only thing we will be known for in the near future is sports and entertainment. Education and hard work are soon to be a thing of the past.
TIF funding is supposed to be used in areas that are underdeveloped and where the development would not take place except for the public expenditure. Obviously some "back scratching" and creative writing took place for this venture.
