Here’s a stupid Idea. Why not set up an account for just road repairs, deposit the money from the red light cameras in that account and then pay for the repairs from that account. They could also put the gas tax money in that account. Bet our streets would be the best in Iowa and would actually be a selling point instead of a joke.

It seems its always a baseless threat until someone follows through then its a tragedy. I do understand that rumors can get out of control but when teachers and students could be at risk, even if turns out they are not then I say everyone should talk even yell at the top of their lungs. What was lost a day of school? Better than everyone keeping quiet and people getting shot.

Great Idea to bad CR people would never go for it..... I would vote yes though. We need something in the area that is ours and will bring people around.

nightshift worker here, and no I am not a street walker. Maybe you should wake up from you little world and join the rest of us grown ups that work all kinds of hours not just the all mighty 9-5. I bet you will be glad that nurses and doctors work after 11:00 pm sometime in your life. That is only one example of people working off hours that are not street walkers or even bad element. We (night shifters) would like to be able to get the same things you do at these stores just at different times.

The school needs to get all the info it can and then hand out punishment to the people who need it. There are always two sides to the story and I would put money on the fact that the "Victim" is not without some blame here. I do not know this 100% but would want the school to get as many of the facts as they can then make their decision.

My son goes to Point and has said this boy is not as squeaky clean as he is made out to be by the news stations. That is not to say that he had this comming but may have played a part in it. The news will always play it like the " Victim" did nothing wrong just to help sell the story and I think that is waht is going on here. We do not know the facts only what KCRG wants us to know and they want public outrage to help fuel the story and help them make $$$$
I will trust the school to do what is needed and hope that this kind of trouble will be stopped in the future. The teachers and staff at Point do their best and I trust them completely.
