On the other hand. Monster Hunter is a Third Party game. Nothing keeps Capcom from coming out with a Monster Hunter for 3DS. I don't think Sony has exclusivity. What Capcom like about PSP is the adhoc WiFi capability which it sues in a similar way that 3DS uses Street Pass. You would think They'd be hot to port it over. At the very least perhaps the next Pokemon game will have some cool street pass stuff...

I understand it the names from the marketing perspective. Wii and DS have been their most successful properties EVER. I can see not wanting to completely drop the name. Remember they called the DS the DS because they were so unsure of the whole concept they didn't want to sully the Game Boy name. At the time they had every intention of coming out with another Game Boy.

I actually thing they weren't really ready to release it yet. But they got wind that Sony was going to release their PSP follow up in 2011, and the whole 3D concept got leaked in the media, so they rushed to get it finsished before Sony.

People in the US don't realize that for as badly as PSP did here overall it's the king of kings in Japan, and the prospect of getting in late in a generation against Sony in their homeland was motivating. The PSP does well in Japan because of Monster Hunter. The fight between PSP and DS is actually Monster Hunter vs Pokemon. The idea that Nintendo will not have a new Pokemon title for the 3DS for at least another 18 months I think proves they actually didn't plan for it to be released in 2011...

Well...

It seems that now Amazon is offering a Buy 1 Get 1 sale in 3DS games. It seems there might very well be a large surplus out there.

The only thing I think that can explain it is 1) They've released the 3DS too close to the Release of the XL and DSi and people just arn't ready to purchase ANOTHER nintendo handheld. 2) Or people just aren't that impressed with 3D.

I will say this, Pokemon kids, were Nintendo's bread and butter, and I've seen more and more of them walking around with iPhones instead of their DSs these days.

We'll see what christmas holds...

Tin Tin is a Trilogy. Again, go back to my first comment. Tin Tin may bomb in the US but it will probably do well enough over seas to warrant the other films being made. Tin Tin 2 is next up for Peter Jackson.

Spielberg will still be EPing JP4 and will be involved in story and planning. I'm just saying that its on his plate. Being an Executive Producer is work too :)

I still believe Indy 5 will happen. All parties involved want it to be vindicated. I want it to happen. Joe Johnson or John Favreu would be my pics.

He should make Gundam, Empire of the Sun but with Giant Robots :)
