Simon, it must be extremely frustrating going onto programmes like the Daily Politics only to find the presenter prattling on about something utterly inconsequential, but I think it's better to go on these programmes and at least make the point that they never want to discuss policy. You come across very well on television.

As for the Asian seaside trip story, I had a bit of a late one last night and am still not fully with it, but I think this is one of the most bizarre stories I have ever read! I genuinely had to check the calendar to make sure it wasn't April 1st!
