Shaun has asked me repost my contact information. My name is Ileana (@countrycuban), and I am the point person here in Miami. I am also working with Esther (@EstheriOrtiz) to secure the 10,000 tents. If you have to drop the tents after the designated drop-off times, our house will be the drop-off zone.

The address is:

5275 SW 171st Avenue
Miramar, FL 33027

We will be accepting tents at our house, into the wee hours of Wednesday morning if we have to! If you have any more questions, you can reach me at 305-761-4808. The community is GATED, so when you arrive at the gate, ask for Esther Ortiz, and they will let you through.

Everyone, let's keep the momentum we have going strong, we can do this!!!

Did you try www.amazon.com? They are shipping, and they're shipping overnight.

There is so much authentic community happening online, and like Kyle, I wouldn't even know where to begin sharing the amazing stories that come from Flamingo. Just this past weekend, we had someone fly in from Switzerland to get baptized in 30 degree weather, in 50 degree water. They would've never flown in, if they hadn't felt that they had experienced authentic community with the Internet Campus staff, and other Internet Campus members.

For me, seeing lives change will always trump sticking to the status quo.

God's work over the course of history does advance through the power structures of this world. We are in this world, not of it... but since we are in it, we are to use the resources that are available to spread the Gospel. In the Bible, Jesus and the disciples used every resource they had available to them. If the Lord has put us in this point in time where we can use these resources to advance the Gospel, it's almost offensive to not do so. Jesus went where people were. Where are people today? Online. Where are people meeting their significant others (1 out of every 8)? Online. People are online, which is why the Church needs to at least consider meeting them there.

Just my two cents.
