Do you feel better now? Why does language like this exist, and why do people so disreguard the weight of words today? Such statements have no benefit except to prove Abraham Lincoln was correct. You sir have removed ALL doubt.

Hope is the driving force in our lives. The idea that we can progress and improve our lives and the lives of others. I could go on for days on this, but the simple bare bones fact is that hope must never be given up. Without hope, our lives would be meaningless.
There is a connection, yes. Please understand, I believe in God, but to discount all other forms of reverence based on the fact that God is not in the equation is a mistake, and one that will continue to alienate those that do not believe in God.
To me this points out and ties in JuanFreeman's earlier point. We must be honest with ourselves. Those that think they are above others are in essence, being dishonest with themselves.
I must say, I'm new to blogging, and I am a little confused. Is this a reply to Chatty_Kathy stating she is in awe of God? She said honesty was achieved through "reverence", not "God". She stated that her reverence came from God. Can an athiest be reverent? I believe so. Zen teachs reverence of Nature. There are many forms of higher power. It troubles me to see contention so early in this blog.
