It sure would be nice if the corporate media would scrutinize the military's wasteful spending, and all the people that get killed during training, or bungled training exercises, repairing weapons, planes, etc. as they do DSHS. DSHS budget it nothing compared to the military budget.
Not needed. Some company must be pushing this, and the Republicans. Some company must stand to make big bucks off of this. Republicans want to use this as a distraction from the real problems we face: overpopulation; dependence on fossil fuels; high unemployment and underemployment; a tax system that is raping the middle class, working class; capitalism that is corrupt, and out of control. I get so sick of Republicans saying government is too big, but then turn around, and want to use it to tell homosexuals they can't get married; telling women they don't have the right to control their body and their health; and wasting trillions of dollars on wars. Sad to watch Republicans slowly destroy this country. Republicans are so corrupt morally and intellectually.
The Catholics want you to think that all these escort ads are from under aged women or men. When in reality very few are. The Catholics are lying because they don't approve of adult entertainment, or adults having sex with other adults for money. They want to force their religion on everyone, and one of the ways they do it is by lying. The Catholics should be busy working on purging their churches of pedophile priests.
"The school couldn't reveal the exact punishment for each student, but they included community service, fines, suspensions and writing research papers about forgery."
The school could reveal what punishment students got. How nice of the reporter to lie for the school.
This just shows me that Catholics use their religion when it is convenient. They don't even believe their own religion. Most Catholics put being cool above God. What hypocrites.
I am so glad I live in Washington State. Glad we are focusing on trying to solving the real problems we face as a society. Clearly overpopulation is at the root of many of the problems we face today. We definitely don't want to have policies that will make this problem worse by making it more difficult for women to control their body, their reproductive system, their health.
"Building owner Lisco Holdings said in court papers that McMillan violated his lease because the apartment is not his primary residence as required by rent-controlled rules. It says he lives in Brooklyn." I believe Mr McMillan is telling the truth, and I believe the landlord is lying, so they can rent the apartment out at a much higher price.
Yoyoyou: very well said. You are exactly right. We gave Boeing billions of dollars in tax breaks at the beginning of the last decade, and they still moved their corporate HQ to Chicago, and plan on opening a new commercial airplane plant in S.C. I am sick of corporations and the rich hording trillions of dollars that they would never have if it wasn't for the masses work, and for the masses consumption, and for the masses taxes. Boeing used to have some smart people running it, but the last seven years they have hired some real idiots at the top, and the proof is the 777 is three years behind schedule. That is what Boeing gets for outsourcing for cheap labor and cheap parts.
"Haley says she won't allow the NLRB to bully businesses in South Carolina."...that is hilarious...the pot calling the kettle black.
We all know why Boeing is opening a new plant in S.C. because they will be able to pay the workers there less. They will be able to abuse workers. They will be able to take profits that should go to the workers, and horde them at the top. Sad to watch more and more jobs either go abroad for cheap labor, or people being forced to work for less and less. It is a race to the bottom. Washington State gave billions in tax breaks to Boeing in the early part of the last decade, and they still shafted us by moving their head quarters to Chicago, and opening up a new plant in S.C. Boeing pollutes a ton, so at least the new plant won't be polluting up here.
Hmm, interesting how the article shielded Amazon.com from the hard ball question (were your servers attacked?) by not asking it. It was left vague by saying it was a technical problem. Amazon.com thinks it can do whatever it wants, including suppressing free speech, and thinks billionaires shouldn't have to pay any taxes, or very little. I have also heard about some of their hiring practices, and they stink. Some very nasty, conservative people, at the top of Amazon.com, are running it, and they deserve to be attacked because they are so anti-American, anti-US Constitution principles. They need to be held accountable, if the USA government won't hold them accountable, for anti-competitive, and human rights violations.
Yep, it is a race to the bottom, and the people in the south are just pawns, and they don't even know it. Just about every good paying manufacturing job is either been shipped abroad, or has been located in the south so corporations can take advantage of idiots in the south that won't unionize.
