As a former Peace Corps Volunteer to Malaysia during more tolerant times, I am chagrined to watch the decent of Malaysia into Islamic fascism. Zurairi calls it a "bubble," but it is truly mindless group-think where Muslims are so disciplined by the constraints of Sharia that they can no longer think for themselves. This is clear in a video of Pamela Geller's recent speech at Brooklyn College to a mostly Muslim (and hostile) audience. Note how the Muslims look to one-another for approval as they walk out in unison as small groups. Note how they are all reading questions from (apparently) the same script on their smart phones. Cannot Muslims think for themselves anymore?

For the record, Justin, your quotation from Exekiel was clearly identified as merely a vision, not reality or a command from God. Furthermore, Old Testament prophesy illuminates and confirms Christian beliefs but it is not "Christianity" -- a faith and practice found in the New Testament. Surah 9:6 doesn't undo 9:5, nor does Surah 8:61 undo 8:60. Those "escape clauses" require one form or another of "submission" by the infidels. Why should anyone have to submit to a barbaric ideology in order to save his or her neck? __

To Arah (Continued)____You show links to a small number of Christians who have converted to Islam. This is not terribly disturbing, as Christian theology and U.S. Constitutional law embrace free choice with regard to religious belief and practice. What is a religious faith worth if it is not from the heart? What is disturbing, however, is that under Sharia Law, leaving Islam is a capital offense, punishable by death. (See Reliance of the Traveller, para. o8.1) Even so, Muslims are leaving Islam in droves, per testimonies on FaithFreedomInternational. Game over, you lose.

To Arah,

There is always a craving by man to worship a God. There is a God-shaped hole in everyone's heart. But the biggest insult to the true God would be to worship a man-made god instead. Bukhari reports: "'Umar came near the Black Stone and kissed it and said, 'No doubt, I know that you (sic) are a stone and can neither benefit anyone nor harm anyone. Had I not seen Allah's Apostle [Muhammad] kissing you (sic) I would not have kissed you (sic).' " (Vol. 2, Number 667) As CS Lewis said, "For spiritual nature, like bodily nature, will be served; deny it food and it will gobble poison." Islam is the poison gobbled by people denied access to the true God.

Readers looking for a well-documented and forthright book on the Islamist threat written by a Christian, should get a copy of "The Third Choice -- Islam, Dhimmitude, and Freedom" by Mark Durie. This book will give you the resources and the Christian perspective to speak boldly and irrefutably about the Islamist threat. __ __Christians need to speak out about the Islamist agenda. However, they need to be very accurate and specific about the problem.__ __

While this church should be commended for recognizing the imminent threat of the Islamist agenda in the United States, their ad will be discredited because they got a couple of points wrong: Most demographers agree that the actual Muslim population in the U.S. is under 4 million. The higher numbers are actually due to making estimates based on family names and counting Arab Christians and Christians from other Islamic nations in the figures. Also, Islamic Sharia Law is very opposed to the gay agenda. "Reliance of the Traveller" which is the classical manual on Sharia Law states in Paragraph p17.3 "Kill the one who sodomizes and the one who lets it be done to him. Lesbianism by women is adultery between them (punishable by death)."__ __There are plenty of irrefutable evils contained in the Islamic ideology, so one doesn't have to include false accusations. For starters, the Quran commands acts which are illegal in the U.S. -- like child rape, wife beating, and taking "booty." Sharia Law is against many of the provisions of the U.S. constitution. __ __

(Continued from above) Durie's book gets down to basics in "unpacking" the Islamist thinking about "dhimmitude" -- the non-Muslim's liability for refusing to submit to Islam -- and "jizya" -- money paid to Muslims to restore what was their Allah-given rightful inheritance (being the entire world). One of the requirements of dhimmis is that they never criticize Islam or Muhammad, explaining why to this day, any criticism of Islam is seen as a serious offense to Muslims. The book is well-documented and carefully reasoned. It is not your typical anti-Islam rant. __Perhaps it is time to remind Muslims that they can't impose their "dhimmi" rules on non-Muslims if they don't run the government. That hasn't happened in the West . . . .yet.____A link with more information on the book (including it's chilling cover) can be found at: __http://www.markdurie.com/The_Third_Choice.html

Most Westerners have a hard time understanding why Muslims are so sensitive to criticism of their ideology, which contributes to the Christian "silence". A new book by an Australian evangelical minister, Mark Durie, provides some valuable insights. The book is titled, "The Third Choice -- Islam, Dhimmitude and Freedom." In the book, he book tells about a young scholar who was in Egypt and wanted to study the Coptic theological analyses of Islam. He went to the Coptic Bishop in Cairo and asked where he could locate such books. The Bishop told him that they don't exist. How could this be, with Copts living under Islamic domination for 1,400 years? This would be baffling to Westerners, but perhaps not to Copts.____(Continued below.)

Christians reading this blog should get a copy of "The Third Choice - Islam, Dhimmitude, and Freedom" by Mark Durie. Durie is an evangelical pastor and former missionary to Malaysia. His excellent and well-documented book exposes the ideology behind "dhimmitude" -- the non-Muslim's liability for refusing to submit to Islam -- and "jizya" -- money paid to Muslims to avoid the sword and to restore what was their Allah-given rightful inheritance (being the entire world). One of the requirements of dhimmis is that they never criticize Islam or Muhammad, explaining why to this day, any criticism of Islam is seen as a serious offense to Muslims. Christians (as well as non-Christians) must oppose this mindset at every opportunity. Bravo to Trinity Baptist Church. __ __
