The troops should not have to worry about their paychecks. They did not have to in 1995 when the government shutdown during the Clinton Administration. It seems that Obama is holding the troops hostage to raise the stakes in the budget debate. http://is.gd/GO4f9Z

Keep in mind that Democrats decided not to pass this budget last last year because of elections. If there is a shutdown it will solely be the fault of Obama and Democrats.

Individual rights and collective rights should not be confused. Collective rights have been experimented in France, Russia, Cuba, Germany, Venezuela, and countless other places. Individual rights are protected in America.

Governor Walker is not taking away individual rights from anyone. He is putting an end to a significant burden on the budget (funded by taxpayers) - collective bargaining by public employees. More on that here: http://www.libertyjuice.com/2011/02/21/wisconsin-...

We certainly cannot discount China's motivation to cheat. America by large is much more educated than the rest of the wold, but that advantage has been slipping for years. It's a self-inflicted wound that needs room to breath freely (without the government), but instead is being plugged with bureaucrats and money by dirty government hands.

John, you are correct. Commodity prices are relative to the currency they are priced at.

Good eye. I did not notice that, but you may be right. On that note it also falls in line with global redistribution of wealth, which we know many in the Obama Administration support.
