My ex and I were traveling back from BC a couple years ago and I had five of these Kinder Surprise eggs. Customs found them and we were detained for about forty-five minutes.

In my mind the defense I delivered sounded like it came from Kyle Brovlovski. I said:

"We have no small children in our household. Although the FDA has banned the sale of these in the US can't I transport them? I bought these for myself because I've always been intrigued by the quality of the small toys that are contained within them. They're miniature works of art and infinitely more refined than anything you'd find in a CrackerJack box. I can only think the FDA has banned them in the states because they have surmised that American toddlers just aren't quite as bright as Canadian toddlers."

We drove through the Peace Arch with my Kinder Surprise eggs.

The ex was still pi**ed.

I recall that as fact. Someone here had posted a comment on that article in the first week of May surrounding an identity and it was deleted by a KOMO admin. There was enough info in the thread to confirm it elsewhere.

I could lean toward miracle. The first responders were nurses who just happened to be over forty miles away from their territory and near that intersection.

I grew up in Illinois. I love electrical storms. Went to visit my dad in Florida last year when a storm rolled through one evening. He was more than happy to sit with me on his back porch just to watch it.
