It seems to me until we can give people wanting to run for office the same financial backing and visibility on the media the terms limit is useless. Maybe it is time to get rid of the war chests incumbents have and control the amount of money they have to spend. There are states like Massachusetts I will never understand as to why they keep re-electing people like Kennedy til one day he'll be found dead in his chair in the senate. When you have people who serve in the senate and the house of representatives their entire life they lose touch with reality. They should have to pay for their own insurance just like the rest of us do. You can't represent a group of citizens when youare so far removed from the life the middle class lives.

All of the gun stores can't keep ammo, primers or most arms on the shelves. Here in AZ more and more shops are restricting how much you buy. Within the last few weeks Cabela's sold pallets of ammo Approximately 30,000 rounds and they called the police before these people left and they were arrested because they were here illegally and planning to take it down to Mexico. Here in AZ we have to deal with our neighbors to the South with their gangs and druglords on top of all the issues here in the US.

I believe you have to be born here to even run. Even just running and not being born here is not allowed.
This is just for the president I believe. The only reason McCain could run is he was a military kid born out of the country so he is automatically an American citizen because his father was stationed and the family lived out of the country. As far as I can remember Obama as of today still has not provided proof of his birth in the United States.

Correct. It was intended to fund WW2 and it was brought back and was supposed to be temporary. The sad part is once the government got ITS BAILOUT it kept coming back to our wallets again and again.

I agree that the Magna Carta is a good document to read. It is the foundation of where we believe our rights came from. We were born with them, they were not given to us.

All of the planets in our solar system have been raising temps and the caps on Mars have been affected as well. I think our weather as usual is changed by the warming and cooling of the sun more than we very small humans on this planet. Kind of reminds me of the fleas trying to change the direction of the dog. The earth was here before us and will be here long after us. We have less effect than the volcanic activity, earthquakes and various other changes to this planet that occurred before we were here. Kind of like the dinosaurs.

Obama is trying to close the barn door after the horses have gotten out of the barn. The only option for these companies with large contracts is bankruptcy before a judge who can rewrite them. Obama acting angry about AIG is like Hitler crying about the killing of the Jews. He has signed all of the bailouts including when he was a senator so he is far from blameless. This whole situation reminds me of the comic of a girl with her check book that says.'" I can't be out of money, I still have checks." I am tired of funding failed businesses and AIG is a failed business.

I believe Congress has been referred to as "The Parliament of Whores." Follow the money trail and I am sure we could find out why this scam on the American people is continuing.

We are the United States of America not of the world. The constitution forbids such action. To allow ourselves to to participate in such an action allows other country's have a say in how we run our country and our lives as well.

I do not want anyone to touch my country or my constitution that my Father in Heaven inspired. It is the second most perfect document only behind the Holy Bible. Next behind that is the Declaration of Independence. READ IT SOMETIME!

We can offer our help but ultimately the American voters have the last say on what happens in this country as long as we maintain our sovereignty. No one has a right to have anything to say about how we run our country outside
of the founding fathers foundation that was laid down for us. It is the one thing that has always made us stand out as unique; is our fundamental core beliefs that all men are endowed by their creator with unalienable (untouchable) rights not given by men or government but by our creator and no other.

I believe that if we stray from the fundamental (obviously and not hard to understand) rights, to Life, Liberty and to the PURSUIT of Happiness (not guaranteed by the way) we will collapse as a nation for good. We were lucky to be born here in a nation that believes governments do not have a right to touch those liberties( unlike the rest of the world)
because they are the very breath we breathe. I am so tired of hearing about how the rest of the world views us as a nation. We as a nation answer only to the Ultimate Authority and none other.

I don't need anybody else to like me. I am not in kindergarten where peer pressure matters anymore. We are grown ups. If you feel like you need someone to like you as an American GROW UP.

I don't think George Washington or Thomas Jefferson or John Adams was so concerned with world opinion the
day they voted on that Constitution or the Declaration of Independence. Remember that Declaration of Independence? I think everybody needs to read that everyday and realize how far down the tubes we have come already to just being another nation that is just a flash in the pan. I am so proud of my Founding Fathers.
