Oh my, Jim. I will insist that WIS students "won" the Governor's Regional Physical Fitness Challenge and the money attached to it because their fitness "test scores" were surely far and above those of any competitor's. Read once somewhere that good learning is enhanced by good health.
Agreed and I wish to add that it would be wise to seek input from everyone in the district who would be affected, such as those who would pay the additional taxes needed, the students and their families, and also the Superintendent and Business Manager.

I'm at least 95% certain I trust Jeromy Geiger to act wisely. I've witnessed his dedication to youngsters, their parents, and to taxpayers alike, through his involvement in youth activities. I find him impressive, even though we've never met. I would suggest making him the board's spokeperson if they move ahead with this plan.
Like Debbie Lambert and Sandra Pergson, most folk right now are happy to just have a job. Some folks, it would seem, are never satisfied. All should take heed that lots of p a r i t y exists in unemployment lines. :(

Whether you did or did not participate, however, the fact remains that a lead story could read " On a 4-1 vote yesterday the GCBE loaned $200,000 to WA, whose officials entered into employment and lease contracts while knowing they did not have funds to cover the contracted expenses. WA leaders then lobbied GCBE for money to get them out of the hole they put themselves in." Glenn County Board of Education does not consist of one vote, whether for or against. The GCBE made the loan.
