This is bogus. That one major league player can be 'ruined' by 40-50 swings on an off day is ridiculous. If this were the case, no one would ever break out of slumps.

He'll be fine this mini-homestand, because he's facing bad pitching on a mediocre team. That's the truth of it.

I'm sure some will say it's not enough, should've been there, whatever.

But which will be more memorable? Having something Mets related at the ballpark, or remembering the day they put it there?

Sheffield isn't exactly looking brilliant.

Tatis might've been a one year thing.

"who are the playing the Yankees tonight"

I'm amused that you posted this, roughly as the afternoon game ended.

He never has. Remember in August last year when we had starting pitchers pinch hitting cause the game went to extra innings?

I tihnk their starting pitching is just unscouted actually. I think the Braves finish second. Although maybe not, since their bullpen is yankeeesque.

The inaugural patch i believe is different due to the deal with Citi. certian requirements to wear their patch, versus the Mets patch.

the Mets patch is on the balls, etc. I have a shirt with it. I think all the away jerseys feature it too.

It's still April. Pelfrey, Maine, and Perez have all shown that potential. sure, it's possible they'll never get there, but it's also possible by the time April ends, they'll have gotten in a a little consistency and worked out the kinks.

How do you not get that these tickets _are_ reduced in price because they're outfield seats? at Shea section 36 cost the same as section 2.

The only issue is that people bought things without seeing them. There are, and were, legitimate, awesome seats available for everyone at reasonable prices.

In 2003 the cheapest ticket at Shea was $8. in 2009 at Citi? $11.

More seats for me, and the lines (probably with the exception of Shake Shack. Yikes!) will be shorter.

They don't.

Citi Field is awesome. It's quickly becoming my favorite ballpark.

I looked at those views yesterday. I took 350 pictures. There were a couple of spotty areas, but most everything was perfectly acceptable to me. For instance, there isn't a seat in the place that I'd prefer to be for a game less than on my couch at home.

I think most of the people complaining are people that bought season tickets/plans without being at the park, and are experiencing buyer's remorse because they would've done something differently today.
