ok so im a hardcore Watchmen fanboy ill admit it. I HATED THE FILM. i think alan moore was smart to keep off the project. Watchmen will remain UNFILMABLE. now i don't want to go on and on and bore the fuck out of everyone but the film is a disgrace and shouldn't have even had the chance of becoming made.

i am in a film college so i know both sides of the story. it is hard to do adaptations and there are a few that break the wall down and are amazing (TDK) but there is reason behind why Watchmen is unfimlable. Aside from the great structure that is the plot and deep involving story and ideas, there is a little something called medium. Watchmen was specifically made for comics. Alan Moore didn't have the idea of having just a book (regular novel) nor did he think in terms of a movie. He strictly thought, tried, and succeeded in making something that is truly unique and truly unreplica-table in any other form.

Now I could go on for literally way too long about how bad this film was on an adaptation level and cinematic level (i.e. the acting, directing, story, and blah blah blah) but all im saying is that word of mout his killing this film and its sales becuase the TRUE fans of Watchmen are telling those exactly what it is. SHIT. Screw seeing the movie. do yourself a favor and go read one of the greatest comics of all time.

i agree 100 percent. the reason it's unfilmable is because the comic holds so much that couldn't be pushed through a film.
