I just want to encourage you in your writing and your stance. I enjoyed reading this post and the dialogue that had been going on on facebook. Thank you for pointing your readers back to the Bible to see what it says. As believers we should always be discerning and check things that we read and hear against the Bible. Paul commended the Berean church for doing just that. And they were checking out what he was saying, not just another teacher. Paul was commending them for verifying that what he was teaching was accurate in light of the Scriptures. I'm also glad that there are people like you and other teachers, authors, pastors, etc. that don't shy away from pointing out doctrinal error. I believe that we should do that. There are many examples in scripture where Paul and other apostles do just that and encourage us, there readers, to be on guard for false teaching and to speak out against it. You're doing the right thing by pointing out that what these false teachers say does not match up to what the Bible says.
