We would have more of a sense of community and need for each other if we went back to our roots......The men hunt, the women cook and if someone has something we need, we trade. THAT is a community relying on each other. (not being sexist, by the way, just an example) In that scenario there is no way to avoid community. The Hawaiians share everything they have. If they are eating, they will always offer you a plate. They also care about nature and only take what they need. In the old days, if they over fished it would be "kapu" or off-limits. The punishment was death. I think what I am trying to say is, there has to be a way to keep balance. That would mean that EVERYONE would have to be conscious of it. (never going to happen because of overpopulation) Funny.....somehow I got somehwat off subject. oh well.
I understand that my sacrifices and pain are mostly caused from lack of transparency, laziness, lies, and the feeling that I, myself, cannot do what I would like to be done. the root of all our problems is "overpopulation". You and I both know that. There are too many people to please and you just can't please everyoone. We have to think of ourselves because overly giving ourselves you get hurt, then hardened. I know from the hard way. The way things are today..there just isn't enough time to go around doing good deeds, despite our technological advances to make more time.
I think religion can be a good thing....if it makes you a good person, helps you believe in something and give you something to look forward to. I think we have definitely gotten lost over the years. Man tries to control everything, and it seems people are realizing they aren't getting the whole truths (which is probably part of why the church is losing people). People are getting fed up EVERYWHERE, whether it is religion, government, business, or your best friend. We all know something is wrong( at least in our guts or just a knawing sub-conscience). How long will we take it? The world seems to be falling apart right now, probably because of just that. What do you think would happen if everything went public? If everyone just started being honest? Personally, I think the world would be a better place. Humans can handle A LOT more than we give ourselves credit for.
I liked you neuter/spay idea........I was trying to say, though, that you cannot please everyone. It has to be give and take. I don't play sports so why should I pay for a baseball field? But I do and do not complain because the community has varying likes and dislikes. The city is trying to help support the part of the community that has dogs and want a dog park, just as they have with people with kids that want to play baseball. It is GIVE AND TAKE. The Doc, gets mad when ANY money is spent that he won't use......We all get upset at overspending. Even though I have a dog, I will not use the dog park. I think it is good for the people who will. I was being sarcastic when I said the government only makes one group happy......which I guess is true.
There are a LOT of things that I pay for that don't benefit me...... I think it is supposed to be a little give and take. I don't think the city gets taxes just to make one specific group happy. That would be our Government.
Maybe all the money they spent on Vision Airlines.$1.5 million should have gone to the deficit. Instead we have a new airline (like there was no way people could get here), and their prices are so high that no one will fly them anyway.....
I am not sure where to chime in here...... I tend to agree with you Doc. Man has changed the bible, hidden certain books, and completely controlled what they want you to see. I keep hearing Christians saying that GOD made it that way and you have to trust that the good word came through by GOD'S order..It to me seems ridiculous because there is a "new testament". And now I hear that they are once again going to change the bible. I am sorry but I tend not to trust man or what words were written for him. And, like the game of telephone, I am sure have changed over the years. I know what is good in my heart. Maybe there wouldn't be so many problems in the church if they didn't try to force people to believe it and then scare them into giving money and telling everyone they will burn in a fiery hell. They will forgive murderers that have "found the way" but if you do not believe you will surely burn! HAH!

Yeah so all the condos (floating or not) can dump more feces on the water. What a wonderful world! Are you sure it wasn't just the fireworks in Arkansas? or power lines in LA.? Possibly too many sunflower seeds like in Italy? oh well......They are just birds who needs 'em! (muttering under my breathe)
