A college campus is not a Sanctuary Campus that can set its own laws (or lawlessness as in Sanctuary Cities). Public laws and rights apply equally on campus and off.

If the Republicans are smart (lol) they will pass a bill that funds everything but Planned Parenthood - and they have the power to do it. Then when Obama vetoes it, it is he that is shutting down the Government, not the Republicans.

With the Left, an opinion is the same as an act. Progressives fancy themselves as the thought police. In the Progressive world not even thinking outside of the Party Line is allowed.

By "heavily edited" you mean the audio was dubbed? Somehow I can't buy that. Video may be out of sequence or cut, but I don't think it was animated. Res ipsa loquitur

I am all for research using fetal tissue, but not when taken from viable fetuses. When will the Left understand this isn't about women's health but about children's health?

I've come to believe the difference between the Left and the Right is the thickness of the skin. The further Left one is, the more easily they are offended while (with the exception of the far religious right) the further Right is, perceived insults bother them less. If what a person says about you bothers you then you are giving validity to their opinion - there must be some truth to what they are saying.

Interesting that the Redskins get maligned while the Chiefs, complete with their "tomahawk" gestures receive relatively few complaints.

Supposedly educated teachers and even the police can't tell a circuit board from an explosive? I don't fault them for being cautious, but to continue harassing the kid after it was shown to not be dangerous is ridiculous.

The real overreaction is Obama inviting the kid to the White House while many other kids with even less egregious "offenses" suffer much greater consequences and harassment. Once again Obama doesn't know when to keep his nose out of things. He has no concept of Leadership.

Why in the world would anyone ask a perfect stranger to take a lunch to someone who would also be a stranger. It was presumptive to ask someone to do so and the obvious reaction would be to wonder what was going on. This is the dumbest thing yet to blame on racial profiling. A perfect example of someone looking for a reason to be a victim.

I do know that my Dad's AT&T retirement benefits look a lot like PERA benefits. In fact, his medical is much better. I think that if PERA was privatized then all these problems would work themselves out and it would no longer be a drain on the state. Funding of government entities would be the only issue, not how much they are contributing to retirement plans. We both agree PERA is a problem, just different but similar solutions.

Chamberlain gave diplomacy a chance. That worked out well.

Kim Davis is performing an act of civil disobedience, something Pitts should understand as the major weapon in the fight for civil rights. There is nothing wrong with civil disobedience so long as you are willing to accept the consequences, and it appears she is. The question is will her act gain support for religious civil rights to provide equal footing with gay civil rights?
