I go to school in Chicago. It snows and it is COLD!
Northwestern Wildcats ftw!
I would definitely want to have a talk with him about everything, especially spiritual questions. But does having the answers negate the part of faith? I would want him to meet my family and friends, especially friends who struggle with believing. I would in general want to share my life with him. Show him what I do most days, hang out. :) Take some pictures! haha
Probably US Weekly. Gotta know my pop culture! ;)
I read your blog! (obvious?) I also read the blogs of my friends and I have a Bible discussion blog among them too (it's not really catching on though. :( ). I also check out people's blogs who guest-write on here. ^_^
I started reading it last summer, I think I found it linked from another site. Then I started reading backwards and read em all and recommended it to everyone I know!
I don't think the video is saying that children should be banned from church. I think that is saying that the service may not interest a child much, or at all. I have had a LOT of experience with kids and I have found that the majority of them would not be able to sit through a sermon and learn from it. Kudos to the kids who can though. Also, I want to defend the Sunday School programs. Ideally Sunday School should not just be a placeholder baby-sitter that is all fluff and no content. As a Sunday School teacher, I put a lot of effort into making sure that Sunday School is a fun environment so that kids can look back on it and church in general with fondness AND finishing the lesson. I will often modify the lesson or game if I feel that it is impractical. Many teachers, mostly volunteers, put a lot of effort into Sunday School. It's not a cakewalk! If your church's Sunday School program seems lacking, I strongly encourage you to try to implement positive change or volunteer. Take action to make it a better environment for your kids! :)
Aw man! That kid's adorable! Have you seen the crying 3 year old? I think it's the hair.
One of my friends is a PK/MK and let me tell you, I'm just waiting for the crazy to bust out. ;) I'm hoping it's the uber-Christian side that he'll align himself with!
