I have two questions circling around in my mind:
1. I wonder what would transpire if the unimaginable happens tonight. What kind of a man/champion would Sonnen be? Will he show humility or continue on with the "show"?

2. In one of the translations, Anderson was quoted as having said something to the effect of...."as the fight draws near, all that trash talking will inevitably end up causing chaos in his own mind"...or something like that. I wonder just how true this will become. I would love it if we could actually "see" the innermost thoughts of these fighters as the time draws near...that would be true entertainment.

The "shame" is not that we can't enroll him in charm school...the shame is that most of us cannot just accept him for who he is, as he is.

You make an excellent point...about the future of humanity. However, pinning that goal to someone...any one...especially a person whose gift to the world is combat...is a recipe for disaster. (a) the Diaz boys must have done SOMETHING with their lives to be in such a position that it's even possible to look up to them. I don't know, maybe became somewhat well recognized fighters...so much so that magazine articles, blog posts and videos of them get seen.

(b) I find it repulsive when people absolve themselves from the duty of parenting. Even worse when a third party absolves unnamed parents from their single most important task as a human procreator....thoughtful child rearing.

(c) If a kid looks up to Nick, have you considered the possibility that this might be a good thing? That without that kind of "mentor" in his or her life that kid would end up dead or in jail? No, you haven't. Because that end of the human spectrum of existence is unsightly and you'd rather not "go there." That's fine. But don't blame Nick for making something of his life....regardless of whether or not you agree with the manner in which he's done it.
