I have thought it over and you are right Gardner. We had an absolute zero for a representative last time who was only interested in suing our neighbors and supporting his cronies attempt to shove the radical' Boulder Agenda 21 on business here in Longmont. That didn't fly with the voters the last two elections. Given the solid trend and change in direction the voters have taken the system is working more within the limited form that the Charter intended, so I agree let Council take a positive attitude and let the chips fall where they may in a balanced realignment of boundary lines. Thank you Gardner, that is a great suggestion.

I don’t understand your referenced “MINORITY REPORT”, ThinkGreen. An identified robber still on the run for the past crime re-enters their own crime scene a 2nd, and 3rd time is highly likely to be noticed and reported by well-trained bank employees. Here the police and bank employees appear to have acted prudently in breaking up a burglary in progress (unlawful entering a business with intent to commit a felony by the perpetrator). Had the perpetrator not been recognized, the menacing note found in her pocket presented to the attendant clerk one of two reactions would have happened, either of which is a felony, (1) attempted bank robbery if clerk was not intimidated and pushed the alarm button or (2) intimidation worked and clerk handed over money which the perpetrator took possession and control over. The perpetrator was clearly busted for what she did, not for what she might do in the future as ThingGreen suggests.

Add to sane representation in Ward 3 actual representation of constituent interests in Ward I.

The only reasonable explanation why a politician would not wish to redistrict a part of a large subdivision on the excuse of it has a one large neighborhood group would be because it deteriorated into a political power base for an incumbent council member. The contra argument is that no neighborhood group should have the perception of undue influence on any given member of council. That was the unfortunate early history of the neighborhood group program development that the community grew out of, and away from to the every lasting credit of Councils proceeding this one. The neighborhood groups are an excellent resource to members and city alike functioning well. Let us keep it that way for the good of comity and harmony throughout the City, Council. Please don’t open the door to use this occasion to polarize & politicize a great functioning program to satisfy political egos. For the most part this year this Council has functioned generally united on substance and service. I support keeping the Ward system splits on this established high road to comity redrawing the lines that make substantive common sense for the good of the whole order.

It is the graft of governments buying land process for right a ways that keeps this giant welfare for RTD bureaucrats going. The RTD could solve right a way in a heartbeat going without a Disney Land monorail in CDOT Freeway maridans. Its called MagLev. Google it they won't cause of vested interests in graft.

Former Council member Karen Benker’s Bloc of Four & the Mcoy’s before and after the Bloc, did all they could as City officials to make sure that Longmont lost the land resources to Boulder Open Space & conservation easements to make Longmont the kind of city where "People don't put money up when they're not comfortable the economy can support it,". The progressive agenda in BoCo is to keep people unemployed, on welfare and wards of the County’s social services to keep BoCo workers employed. When businesses at Del Camino begged Longmont to annex them and they would pay all costs Tom McCoy refused to help them at the serious detriment to Longmont’s future resources to enable jobs & opportunities to emerging youths as they graduate high schools & universities.

The folks Obama considers the bigoted ones "clinging to their guns and religion." Those are the ones who caused his wife to never be proud of America until they elected her husband president. Who cares if an unemployment rate above 8% becomes the "new normal"? Who cares if they have to pay more for heating and electricity?
