However, I would really encourage you to purchase a copy and put together a study yourself. It's really easy to lead and is really a great experience to do.

Thanks for your comment. Those numbers are indeed shocking and, I believe, Chan and Sprinkle would agree. In fact, I believe they said so in their book. The more startling fact is that I believe they would say that it is likely that not all of the 2.2 billion Christians are even safe from hell (those who will be surprised because they did things in Jesus' name).
Certainly there are a multitude of views on this and Scriptures are indeed subject to interpretation. The real question is: Is there any one interpretation that is actually correct. This seems to be a question as to whether, in fact, there is a God and, if so, what does He think? As I read Chan and Sprinkle, I see them saying that based on their belief in the God of the Christian Bible, this is what he reveals to be true about hell. Those passages are pretty clear, though our human sensibilities want to soften them. If in fact, as they believe, there is a God who is Creator and Judge and this is what he says, having a different interpretation of his Word will not be a credible defense.
I take from the tone of your comments that you do not hold to the same beliefs as Chan and Sprinkle (or myself), and of course that is your choice. If I am mistaken in that, I apologize. However if I am correct in that inference and since I do hold to a belief in hell, I will pray for you as it seems you find yourself among that 4.8 billion. I don't like that and I pray that you will honestly ask yourself about whether the God of the Bible exists and not simply relegate that question to being a matter of someone else's belief.
These are sober matters and I appreciate the sober tone of your comment. I would be more than happy to continue a discussion in that tone.
