Toyota is the only car manufacture out there to use drive by wire for the gas. You have NO TRUE control of the throtte. It is all done through position sensers and actuatores. All the US makers decided years ago that due to computer problems they would not trust computers with the control of any of the critical systems. Toyota had gone with the Floor mat before and Gas pedal position sensor, Now it is happening with a differant line of cars?? Did they not learn the first time of are they covering up a much deaper problem in the computer system?? Untill they "open" the crash data for public review I will not trust any of thier cars.
Verizon is not much better. Years ago I placed a buisness add with them and they ran it 2 countys away with all the wrong info and after 3 years of fighting with them to try and get it right I just told them to take all my buisness and jog on. 5 years later they came after me for all 3 years worth of billings. That was 10 years ago. I just got another colection call about it last month. Went through the whole problem with the billing and told the colection agency if it showes up on ant credit report they will need to bring a big check to court with them and untill they file with the court I have nothing further to say to them. All the big companies have the same atitude - they do not give a sh!! untill they feel it in the pocket book. That is just how they run. I hope this guy hits them really hard!!
What is it with cars running into building today??? I spent all day boarding up a place on E Marginal Way from the same thing. A lady ran her Mercadies SUV into a conferance room just as the entire companie was gathering for a meeting. 5 more minites and that one would have made the news with 7-10 injuries and another 7-10 people lucky not to have been hurt. People just need to slow the he!! down when in parking lots. Life is not a race as the first one to the end is the loser....
