I might add that I don't think any of the Muslims in Ft. Morgan are dangerous...except behind the wheel of a motor vehicle. I think the vast majority of the Muslim people just want to live their lives in peace.
It's the ones that take the Koran in a literal sense that we have to watch out for.

If I wanted to, I could post a link to 164 verses in the Koran that call Muslims to violence aginst nonbelievers. I challenge you, Sascha_K, to find anything in any other religious text that demonstrates this leval of a call to violence.

@ feywit: You ask "why did our former city manager carry a loaded gun?", & "Did he carry it when he was our City Manager?" Last time I checked, it was one of our God given unalienable rights granted to
us by the Second Amendment to The Constitution of The United States of America. Every American citizen who has not been convicted of a felony, & who goes through the proper licensing channels can
get a permit, or license to carry a loaded & concealed firearm in almost every state in the union. Maybe he carried a gun because a policeman was too big to fit in his pocket, or maybe he carried a gun
just this one single time because he wanted to use it on himself. Is it appropriate to talk about allegations of kiddie porn & sexual abuse when a man just commits suicide? Maybe it is, maybe it isn't.
Personally, him not having been convicted of any crimes that we know about, I wouldn't have brought that up out of respect for the man's grieving family & friends.

How about this: Lets knock one of those buildings down, & put in a down-town gun range. I'm sure everyone would enjoy hearing the sound of gunfire at all hours of the day while they are doing their shopping.

I'm way ahead of the curve on this thing. Years ago, I tried something similar at my house, but the neighbors called the cops on me. Now I'm wondering if it was the excessive noise, or maybe
