A budgetary political (diversity) hire, predicated on Ceal Barry's influence and behind the sences involvement.
A simple search of the RMAC during her years there, shows Lappe's program was in decline. Fort Lewis College coach
Mark Kellogg constantly beat/out coached her, had better results at the national level (lost 2010 National Championship
game) while his record shows consistent and dramatic improvement year over year. Great search CU/Bohn did you
even leave campus or check the internet?

With the single exception of CU ties Neill has profiled the womens coach at Fort Lewis college. A program that has
consistently beaten Metro and played for a national championship. Coach Kellogg plays strong defense to offense
style. Floor burn D and shoot the three. Ask Metro and Ms Lappe, they have regularly lost to him and the Lady Skyhawks.
Just sayin'.

Ringo's adolesent pouting over Hawkins return is wearing very thin. He's back, get over it! Just report the facts Kyle.
Aluding to "some buff fans" to represent your juvinile responses to team access and personal feelings is not
professional. We don't need your input to form an opinion. Some readers can't"stomach another year of sputtering
journalism. We don't need a "variety of alibis' for poor reporting. Continued reading of such can lead to readership
flat lining"or wanting your career to do the same.

I hope Kyle Ringo reads his own paper as this article describes him perfectly. The thinly disguised whining about limited football team access; by Hawkins bashing, is constantly reflected in his column headlines. Thus rankings, player attrition and access have become his column focus, rather than solid reporting reflecting the fact all programs experience these actions. Get over it Kyle! Hawkins got the additional year and we've heard your opinion expressed in "sour grapes" reporting since

Kyle:
Begining with closed practices and limited access to quotes; for an easy journalistic ride, your self pity attitude has been obvious. Antaganism toward the program and in particular coach Hawkins is vieled in most of your coverage. The clipped responses to questions provided by coaches and players reflects and lack of trust in how information is used. Since you have a dead end career at present, you have apparently decided to become the token staff hachet man to stimulate circulation and jumpstart a career. Public whining is very ugly.

The commitment made to return respectability to the Buff program required support of ALL areas of student athlete participation. Hawkins retension was a test of that resolve. The singular focus by some on number of wins only, comes from the blue shirt fringe who show their lack of understanding and charater necessary to build a program or a life. A welcome opportunity to drop the loser season ticket holders (if in fact they acctually had them) and to add those that understand loyalty and hardwork. THANK YOU Buff administtators and supporters, I feel a return to respectability; unjustly stolen by accusation and media frenzy, is near.
