I watched this game from a bar outside the Cedar Rapids airport. I had a plane to catch as soon as the game was over. I almost left before the last play. Due to the last minute celebrating, I almost missed my plane. I left Iowa feeling euphoric after watching the best football game I’d ever seen. 27 days later I was in Iraq and watched the entire ‘05 season overseas. What a way to end a season.

My payroll taxes are the single highest monthly expense I have. My payroll taxes equals my mortgage, car payment, and car insurance combined. We are over taxed and it's only going to get worse.

Keep in mind that most, if not all of these detainees, were captured on foreign soil. In many cases the military captured these detainees. The military has a court system in place that can handle these suspects. The constitution has many due rights laws. If the courts allow these detainees all of our protections, many if not all will be set free. For example, have you ever heard of the right to a speedy trial? Some of these detainees have been detained for quite some time without trial. Our constitution should not extend outside the USA. If the military captures a suspect outside the USA, the military should handle the prosecution.
The Iowa Supreme Court has already ruled that these are legal in Dubuque. Besides, this is like any other citation. If you want to fight it you can go to court. You are not guilty until you pay it, or you go to court and a judge finds you guilty. I’m not a fan of these, but your argument is invalid.
When the government gets involved in price fixing, it leads to shortages. Remember Carter in the late seventies?
I have not heard a solid argument on why they need a new library to begin with. They want a down town location. Well they all ready have it. What is the purpose of a new building.

How is this a fresh proposal? This is basically the same thing that we have be screaming that we do not want for months.
They don't need a one payer system in this bill. With the power to limit rate increases and forcing the insurance companies to cover more, this will all but bankrupt the insurance companies. Then democrats can fill the void with their one payer system. Make no mistake, this is the end goal.
