I just want to extend your WWF metaphor a little.

Don't forget the Wasington press corps. They play the role of Ring Announcer. They pretend to believe it's a real contest, and never point out what you just have.

It's a game, and we have finally realized that they are all playing the public for fools!

I am stunned at the abilty of people on both sides of the isle to mis-read, mis-interperate, and mis-understand the tea party guys (like me).

We are only marginally happier with the Republicans than with the Democrats. It is not just about what Washington does, it's also about HOW THEY DO IT!

Slip Don't ask Don't tell into a defense appropriations bill... Appoint Czars with no oversight... vote for it then vote against it! Wink and nod and keep playing the game.

Congress; both houses, should take one entire session to do nothing but straighten out their own rules and proceedures.

I can't wait to see the MSM coverage of this one!

You are standing too close to it Doc; and a little over defensive. While I a certain there have been many changes since my experience with it, at that time, the parents had nothing to do with it, and they were typically ignored if they complained. My ex eventually quit because it was clear and obvious to her that it was strictly about the money.

You just have to accept the fact that bureaucrats are like that. It's the nature of a Bureaucracy. They can't expand their power any other way.

You should be careful not to ignore the obvious. In both cases they are goverment bureaucrats more interested in money than mental health. The parents have no choice in the matter. In the case of the schools, the kids were branded for life because the school administration wanted the bucks.

Sheesh... and you leftists think the evil corporate types are the greedy ones!

My Ex was a school psychologist for elementary school kids in Florida. She was under constant pressure to "Classify" kids as special needs. The reason was federal funding for those programs.

That was over 30 years ago! It's been goiing on ever since.

First, it was good to see someone use a system to estimate rather than just guess, Congrats!

That being said, I downloaded the photo, and drew a trapezoid the same size as the pool. I then copied that shape over the crowd... Including the trees on both sides. (most reports I've seen indicate the crowd was packed even more tightly under there trying to stay in the shade). I got 4; 2 on each side of the pool. You do have to invert one on each side so they will edges will match up. There is a little overlap onto the lake on the right, but alot more un covered crowd on the left as well as above and beneath the pool. Using your number of 56,474 per "1 Pool's worth"
I am estimating 225,000 to 300,000

It is almost amusing that the MSM is so blind to what is going on. Why are their ratings in the toilet? They think it's because the internet is giving people so many choices when it comes to news and information sources. They as usual, they miss the point. It is the internet, and sites like this one, that has informed the public that they have been making the wrong choices!
