I have little interest in this film and I think the CHUD guy nailed it for me. I hated the Transformers movie and that is what this looks like. That style of writing angers me to no end.

I laugh that some of you think he is a star trek fan. He doesn't even allude to that.

Anyway, movie looks like absolute crap regardless.

I agree with the people who say it is flawed. I think it is flawed in a good way. It tried and failed which is better than never trying at all.

As a fan of Pygmalion I find the idea of 2 My Fair Lady musicals insulting. How many times can people miss the point?

It is exciting. I really felt Snyder "got it" when I saw the new Night Owl costume. The comic was such an innovative look at the stereotypes of 1970s/80s comics. Making the film with stereotypes of the modern comic movie really demonstrates that film is its own medium.

Before I post my idea I want to critique this subject in general. A lot of times when you love a videogame plot you are not saying, "this is a great novel/movie/broadway play." The real reaction is closer to saying, "this game is like a movie." It has a lot of characteristics that promote the player filling in the details.

Secondly, every videogame movie is a popcorn-genre film. I remember an anecdote by Philip K. Dick. His favorite Sci-FI story was "Player Piano" by Kurt Vonnegut. He loved that it wasn't science fiction, but a drama in a science fiction world

That is what I am looking for: a true drama in the videogame world.
