The GOP alternative, Obama said, is “an approach to government that will fundamentally cripple America in meeting the challenges of the 21st century.”
The actual GOP alternative is “an approach to government that will fundamentally reduce it's size so American's can meet the challenges of the 21st century.”

The reason I'm asking is, I have just created a list dedicated to the Conservative Era. This is a place where like minded people can present ideas and possible solutions to help promote this ideology.

I believe you are absolutely right.
I would also like to point out another observation. The old saying that, history repeats itself and those that do not learn from it are bound to repeat it, is very true.
From 1890 thru today, I believe, would be more accurate in describing the length of time for the progressive era. I also believe that, many in this country have come to understand that most of these ideas and ideals greatly affect our freedoms and prosperity as individuals and a country.
With this awakening to these facts, for most americans, we may well be at the beginning of the Conservative Era.

For anyone to call our Founding Father's progressive, I believe, must never have read the Federalist Papers or even the very basic definition of the progressive era found on wikipedia.
I would advise anyone who would like to understand how our country has evolved to the point it has should start their awakening there, as I have.

Personally I believe this would be another case of President Obama overstepping his executive authority. The ITC was put in place by Congress as an adjunct to the patent system and does have the power to do the things it does. The patent system, broken or not, is guaranteed by the Constitution. Constitutionally the President's only true legal option would be to go to his Dept. of Justice and have them go to the Federal Court to stay the decision.

Wether or not Boehner gets this third bill to pass, I would suggest he make the following statement to the Senate, POTUS, and the American people:
Since Article 1 Section 7 of the Constitution states:
All bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives; but the Senate may propose or concur with Amendments as on other Bills.
Since raising the debt limit definitely is about raising revenue. We in the People's House have "Constitutionally" done our part of the job by putting forth multiple plans it is now high time for the Senate and POTUS to do theirs. We will only consider a bill on this matter if it was originated in the People's House.

The house Speaker should politely tell the President and the Senate that any Bills concerning the Debit Ceiling are required to be originated in the House unless they believe that they are not held to our Constitution.
Being a strict “Constitutionalist” the only bill that the senate may consider is the “Cap, Cut and Balance”.
For the people that may not be aware of what I am speaking here is Article 1 Section 7 of our constitution:
“All bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives, but the Senate may propose or concur with Amendments as on other Bills.”
No where does it say the Senate can devise their own Bills concerning raising Revenue.
A good example of how much this has been abused one only need look at the “Health Care Bill” The original bill that was sent to the Senate had nothing to do with health care and was completely rewritten keeping only the Bill’s number. How anyone could say that these changes were merely Amendments are making a mockery of our Constitution.
As I learned in Civics class the “House” proposes and the “Senate” disposes. Once we move away from this basic principle the old term “The Peoples House” becomes meaningless.

An idea to to put our elected officials back in charge and stop states and municipalities from ignoring Federal Law.

The Accountably Amendment.
1) Prior to passing any Law or Act, Congress must include the specific Constitutional Authority for said Law or Act. Any subsequent challenge to said Law or Act, the Government shall be prohibited from citing any other legal basis for it's passage. This Amendment shall not prevent anyone who challenges the Law or Act from presenting any other part of the Constitution or it's Amendments as a basis to find the Law or Act unconstitutional.
2) Any State, County, City, Territory or any entity within the United States, that wishes to receive Federal Funds of any type must show they are in compliance with all applicable Federal Laws.
3) Any State, County, City, Territory or any entity within the United States, that wishes to receive Federal Funds of any type must show they are in compliance with any applicable Federal Regulation that has been approved by a simple majority of Congress.
A) Congress must pass every regulation on an individual basis.
B) Congress must also cite the Constitutional Authority for said regulation.
C) Congress shall have a period of 10 years to approve previous regulations.
D) Any regulation not approved in the above cited 10 years shall become invalid.
4) Any State, County, City, Territory or any entity within the United States, that has received Federal Funds of any type that are found to not be in compliance with this "Amendment" shall be required to reimburse all funds received.
5) If the funds disbursed are not returned they shall be prohibited from receiving any Federal Funds of any type until such funds are returned.
6) "The Accountably Amendment" shall take effect 1 year after it's adoption.

From what I was taught in school, rights are those conveyed to a person or group by the Constitution, therefore what these Union people are calling rights are actually privileges. And as we all learned as a child if you behave badly or abuse them, they are usually withheld from you. I guess they now will threaten to kill for these privileges.

Unfortunately, Most students that I have talked to these days seem to believe that once a privilege is given to them by a law it then becomes a right. So the question then comes to who is teaching this crap to our kids.
