Great stuff on baseball all weekend, Brooks, but I particularly enjoyed getting the scoop on the decision-making in the 9th Sunday. Very interesting story, and a cool look into what was going on and the differing opinions on which way to go.

Good stuff, as always - particularly enjoyed the Susac article!

When you get a chance some time in the next 10 days or so, could you drop a mention in the blog on the details of the 10/17 baseball scrimmage in Medford since I know OSU can't "promote" it. I'm guessing Harry & David Field is the obvious location, but if you could confirm the location and pass along the start time, I'd appreciate it.

LDW - the OSU official web site always includes a 2-deep in the weekly game notes. Just look for the "game notes" link on the football page, and as I recall it's the last page of the pdf file.

Wah, wah, wah... boo-hoo for me! If I can't watch the game at home, I'm going to cut my financial support of the school I claim to support. Cripes, what would you do if no network was going to carry the game - burn the MU down because BobD didn't find a way to make sure you could watch it?

Side note on the Southern Oregon Golf Championships at RVCC - there was a mention in the previous day's article in our local rag that pointed out the final would be an all-OSU affair, as King's opponent Daniel Engle will be joining the Beavs golf team this year as a freshman. Nice showing for those two, as the SOGC attracts a strong field.

OK, my bad if I jumped to the wrong conclusion.

So, if you were not talking about Blitz or scout, who are these "journalist" you were referring to that put bad info out there due to their lack of training?

I'm simply trying to understand who you were taking that shot at and who it is that is supposedly putting out bad information that you subsequently are asked to clarify. I guess the fact that I can't think of a time when you had to debunk some wild Internet rumor (bad info) makes it hard for me to figure out where these supposed problems are coming from and who it was that you were criticizing for putting bad info out there and making your job harder.

Interesting shot to take considering that the vast majority of the recruiting info you report about comes directly from Internet sites run by "journalists with limited to no training".

So which is it... are those folks at BeaveBlitz or scout a source of "bad information going out" because they don't have your training, or are they breaking accurate stories that a "trained journalist" has to rely on to stay timely and up to date on a popular topic?

So, with all that "bad information" going out, when was the last time you had to be the one to clarify/correct something one of those under-trained sources put out?

Sorry, Cliff, but those comments came across as petty and inaccurate.
