We don't know if she had been drinking as of yet. All we know is that she entered a house in the middle of the night and ignored the homeowner's warning of having a gun. Either she was drunk, deaf or a complete idiot.

You keep bringing up the size and sex of the intruder like that really matters. An armed healthy man can be taken out by a small woman that know exactly what she's doing.

When I've warned someone who has broken into my house in the middle of the night and walks into my bedroom, waking me up that I have a gun, yet they keep coming at me, whilst shining a light in my face, do you honestly believe I'm really thinking about turning on the light to see what size they are or what sex they are or if they're drunk? It's not cowardly to defend yourself.

Once again, it doesn't matter if it's a smaller person or a woman. They've been known to kill just like larger, menacing men.

When someone breaks into your house and you warn them you have a gun and tell them to leave AND they ignore you and keep advancing, you have every right to defend yourself. It doesn't matter how small the intruder is or if it's a woman, in fact, when someone is shining a light directly in your face it's impossible to tell the size of of that person or if they have a weapon.
