You have to adapt or die.

That being said, it's a slippery slope that must be resisted. Just one thin-skinned foreigner can join and make it his mission to allege "discrimination" at every meeting.

Everyone will have to be on their guard against PC intimidation from within.

The entire EU is a mess and will remain so.

Your best bet is to viscously ridiculing them day and night while you are there - and then come back home with some good stories to tell. But don't politely try to improve it - rudely try to abolish it.

Ask him: "Why in the world do you think we need yet another "commissioner," except if the aim of this scheme is to put real power into fewer and fewer hands, and removing it away from the oversight of us MEP's as a whole? Should we not be alarmed at the concentration of power into the hands of a small clique of "commissioners" ?

Excellent.

By voting to tax the public fisc for such payments, the politicians are just cynically using the victims of such tragedies as "human shields" to justify all their corrupt overspending and overtaxing.

They "never let a crisis go to waste". Real charity can only be given voluntarily by private individuals.
