In case anyone's forgotten, Stewart is a COMEDIAN, and he bills his show as "fake news", which happens to be a lot more real than the pap offered by fox noise, and yes, Harry Truman WAS a war criminal for dropping two atom bombs on Japan, which was attempting to surrender at the time. Don't forget, most Americans either don't know or CARE about what's going on, unless it's something like a tornado blowing them away, or they're falling down a manhole. NO amount of news dispaches (they don't read) or political commentary (they don't listen) will get through to them. We let a criminal gang falsify two elections and lie us into two illegal "wars" with our supreme indifference, and have no one but ourselves to blame for the mess we're in. Of course, most of us are unaware of THAT, too.

A protracted war in Afghanistan, huh? Wonderful. Just what we and Afghanistan need. Business as usual for the criminals in the military-indusrtial complex, who, it seems, can't EVER have enough money and power, and death and destruction for the Afghan people. Oh, yeah; let's not forget the love and respect from those in Afghanistan to whom we're bringing the blessings of democracy. Does ANYBODY out there STILL believe we're after Osama bin Laden or that he's still alive, or that he was responsible for 911? I, for one am tired of listening to insulting lies as a justification for the continuing brutalization of Iraq and Afghanistan.
