But you strayed from the point. Coach Fennelly is preaching one standard for institutions and a different standard for coaches. His success on the court doesn't mask his hypocisy in this matter.

Jermain went to two different jucos, Iowa and now Minn. St. I think the answer to his travels can be seen in his mirror.
Bohall had a severe alcohol incident, didn't he? And the fact that Bohall and Wessel saw significant court time is a testament to the end of the Alford era. Usually walk ons only in case of emergency (see Bauer, Moore, Bohall, Lickliter.) Crawford only averages 12.8 minutes a game for Indy State.
As for Coach Lickliter's charisma, it is off the charts compared to his predecessor. Coach Alford had the presence of a POed wet noodle. I've had considerable face time with both men and it ain't close. He isn't Bruce Pearl, but he's not as bad as you paint him.

The list is misleading.
Crawford barely made it to Iowa the first time. Rumors had him leaving before Alford split. Bohall and Wessels were walk-ons. Palmer is at his third school and Davis at is fourth school, so their track record prior to Iowa was not all that impressive.
Smith and Kelly were motivated by personal tragedies, though I think when Neal left Smith was going anyway.
Only Freeman and Peterson seemed to be driven by something else.
