With all the safety issues in the downtown area - the city is enforcing a fishing ordinance ? Yet the city will allow camping on the sidewalk ? along the free ways ? and open drug dealing in the old town area ?
And where did the city come up with money for 'newly sworn rangers' ? And why won't the commissioner speak publicly on this issue ?

Just another case of the city having an agenda -

shameful. The superintendent of the District won't even give a sound bite to the new media - but his salary is enough to fund an entire school for a year ! The administrative budget is loaded with waste and wasted positions ! Cut the administrative staff at the district level and within the schools . . . and there will be enough money to make the Beaverton schools the pride of the country !
But know . . . greed and pers are the first priority of Jeff Rose (the guy who is supposed to looking out for the kids).

Where are the parents of these kids ? They are responsible for the children and the childrens actions.

OK - so it's no suprise that the Green line (or any max line) is an easy conduit for crime.
I am glad it is finally being acknowledged !
Now let's get some REAL police on the line and enforce the law and make these criminals feel very unwanted !

TriMet has chosen not to police it's own lines (other than fare collectors) - Time for the City to take over !

This is typical of KATU - I suppose they are trying to 'scoop' the other news sources. However, the lack of information in so many of KATU stories is annoying.
Yes, I remember my first journalism class: who what where when why - the 5 W's.

Saddly, this community (seaside) is struggling. There are many sad endings there - this story could be much better written, even without giving us the names of the victims.

I would like to see KATU report on the names of the Judge and probation board and other members of the criminal justice system who have made the decision to release this criminal into society.
Hold these people accountable for a very obvious mistake in judgement !

If the govenor can stay an execution - they can keep this jerk locked up too !
