We might contrast those who are "steady as the sun" with those who job hop. And, yet even the sun has a course of which it could be said to be speedily tracking it's "career".

It seems to me that, depending on how the onlooker's perspective is oriented (by the a part of the course, by the course itself, or if he hasn't caught any vision of the course at all), the person watched might seem disloyal, slow, or bouncy.... when in truth they are right on.

Even Christians don't see all the dimensions of our Call to His face, so we keep what appears (even to us!) a crooked trajectory.

Could we not consider reforming the molds? We could help housing and work "change" to supply the demand of shrewd yet compassionate Neighbors as well as a growing holistic sense of Vocation. We could stop tolerating pastoring that tends unto an old-school worldliness-and-idolatry with it's own hierarchy of sins where some sins are tolerated, no matter how horrendous to they are God, "as long as you keep it out of sight."

Perhaps individuals/families could try living cross-type, building immunity to the ills (and also strength from the good) of both.

Perhaps we work unto a fashioning-by-principle that also has many ideal characteristics, rather than just resorting to the best measuring among a few highly defined molds.

This process only happens because we foster it. And, we foster it because we're sinful. We live our lives carelessly complicit in ill-directed social-juggernauts, moving against our neighbors. That's largely fostered by slothful anti-intellectualism. We refuse to imitate a brilliant God, and so holy zeal is diverted unto the enemy's ends as Children of the Light neglect: their Bibles (by orthopraxis if not by meditation), their personal theology, their personal social-theory. And I'm as guilty as the rest of us.

It falls back on churches, both qualified elders and other individuals, to quit being Laodiceans, shirking our duties upon the hired guns and to be rather Ambassadors of Christ in our worlds. Otherwise if it's not "social democracy" won't it be something else?

Definition idea: One political manifestation of secularization agenda. (Btw, there is a facebook group! <a href="http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2210473277" target="_blank">http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2210473277 )

If it's not this (thankfully honest) compromise of constitution then it'll be another one that we will permit. The people are presuppositionally anti-Constitution and what's more: anti-Christ. Pleasure and pain choke the seed. We masses are politcally manipulated against ourselves by our stomachs and our- yeah.
