That's despicable!!! If any average american were to be charged with the crimes this dirtbag perpetrated we'd be in prison. But not a member of the ruling elite. Those people are more equal than regular people, so whent they commit crimes, not only do they get job offers from the political propogandists, but they get a tropical vacation as part of the deal.

God forbid we profile our sworn enemies (middle eastern males age 18 to 34 with tie to radical islam). But sure go ahead profile actual US citizens who's hard work affords those in Washington their lives of royalty.

Amen!!! I'm moving to Texas too. I wrote a letter to my representative 2 months ago asking if I could count on his support for a similar resolution in the PA HoR. I still have not received a response.... And I am not holding my breath waiting to see if slick Eddy Rendell will support such an act of common sense.

The idea behind term limits can be found by reading "Common Sense" . Basically, any person serving a single term in congress would be best suited to vote what is best for his constituency since he will quickly return to the role of common man at the end of that term. There is nothing to be gained by voting party lines, if you will be voting affirmative for bills that will harm the common man.

"...and that the Elected might never form to themselves an interest separate from the Electors, prudence will point out the propriety of having elections often; because as the Elected might by that means return and mix again with the general body of the Electors in a few months, their fidelity to the public will be secured by the prudent reflection of not making a rod for themselves. A few more thoughts:
Eliminate the congressional pension and healthcare programs. Any funds currently in those programs should be rolled into the social security program. Since the congressional representatives are of the people, they can provide for their own retirement and health insurance just like any other private citizen.

Discontinue secret service for former presidents. Their terms of service have been completed, so they are now private citizens. Why do we need to provide federal protection for private citizens? If they feel they're lives are in danger, they have enough money to provide for their own personal security services.

3) Draft a new amendment to the contitution requiring that any person seeking election for a federal congressional seat must pass with a 95% a Constitutional Certification.

4) Draft a new amendment to the constitution outlawing the practice of lobbying. Let private businesses and special interests all compete on the same playing field (i.e. the open market). The free market has been faltering as of late because of government intervention, thus it has not been a true free market.

If we can have any 912ers who happen to be lawyers draft the bills for these amendments, we can then distribute the bill across the nation, every district in each state can submit the bills to their elected representative and demand that representative vote in the affirmative for that ammendment. Should any representative refuse to perform as instructed by their constituents, impeachment hearings shall follow.

Just a few thoughts:
1) Draft a new amendment which stipulates:
“Any elected representative shall be considered a proxy for their constituents. No legislator is to be considered a decision maker and as such shall have no powers to act autonomously. These elected proxies shall have to defer to those they represent for direction on any vote in the house. A per diem salary shall be paid to these representative in accordance with the rules governing jury pay. Any future changes to congressional salaries shall henceforth be forbidden"
- Having been relieved of such duties that historically have allowed “law makers” to proclaim justification for such outlandish salaries. From this point forward elected representatives shall be considered volunteers, whose sole purpose in serving is to be considered an act of civic duty, and as such will serve in a manner identical to that of a juror.

2) Draft a new amendment to the constitution limiting congressional service to 1 term (this includes the house and senate)
