Nice! Maybe your daughter will one day share a picture of your stuff on her blog! When you are a big fan of a team, you usually don't throw away the stuff you get from going to the games over the years. Your dad has a cool "man cave". Let's Go Mets!
Main concern right now is the feeling that the Mets are not able to take on a big contract. What if a stud like King Felix were made available to the Mets? Could they afford his salary? Five years and 80 mil just wasn't going to cut it.
Thanks for re-posting...this was on SNY a few times..Tim Robbins is a big time Met's fan. Maybe you could get him on your video blog for a Q & A?
He is a good guy to have for depth in the bullpen. He throws hard, has pretty good movement on his pitches, and his strike out to walk rate was the best of his career. The only thing is the consistency of his command. He gave up 6hr's last year, but overall I think he has been pretty good. I think he and Pedro Beato have live arms and the Mets should (and will) be very active in the upcoming Rule 5 draft looking for a quality arm to add to the bullpen. Guys like this would thrive in a 6th-7th inning role if the Mets had a pair of quality set up men and a quality closer. Although it didn't work out, Minaya's plan of having Putz-Rodriguez to shorten the game was a good one (imo).
I think Pedro had a very promising rookie campaign. He also had a nice little run from June 14 thru July 31. 1-0 with 5 holds and a .600 ops against. I think the Mets should make an effort to resign Izzy, and then get some bodies in here for the Bullpen ASAP. I would like at least one frontline closer type....maybe they could take a chance on Broxton or Capps?
MLB Is a Godsend! Thanksgiving is when it really starts to heat up. The Google news tab is how I keep abreast of what is going on in the world of baseball. I just Google 'Mets' and hit the news tab and then sort it by date and the most recent web postings will place on top. On The Black is my back up source....Keep up the great work!
He is just keeping it real.
I meant make that big pitch soon, which he did against the Yankees
