Stanford University Board of Trustees changed there name back in the 70's from the Stanford Indians to the Stanford Cardinals.....for back then the political correctness.

Let us take a step back here, the Oregon Board of Education's high priority is changing school mascot names or the loss of school funding....hmmmm is this a ploy to deter attention on the failures of the School Board to improve the qualities of education for the communities of OR or that there lack luster approach on how to keep schools going during these hard economical times?
I think there is more important things to worry about such as keeping good quality teachers, improving education and staying in step with the ever changing financial woes of all. OR Board of Education get your priorities in check and this person says Mascots were not a priority but finances are.

Get the limited basic cable if you so need cable, that is what I have just because I need reception where I live.

If an employer can fire you for a comment about your job if your post on it on Facebook. Then I don't see why they can not take action on cyberbullies....and those who post doctored facebook pages.

I totally agree with you. I think that was the most rudest and disrespectful thing that the news media has done.
I wonder if one of their relatives dies, how they would appreciate such an insensitive phone call.

I as you also sound am grateful to have been contacted.

The letter states: "We have also concluded that the personal information included your Social Security Number."
I truly don't feel Ms Shepherd had to go to the news media, but I guess she needed her 15 minutes of fame and drama...well she and her family are not the only ones affected by this...many of us are myself included.
I appreciate being contacted, by Dr Smith's office, so I can be on the watch for any activity.

I would have rather seen Gladys Knight or Melissa Gilbert go before him...I just plain enjoyed his positive and upbeat personality.
