Having read it, I can say it's actually pretty good. You can tell the author watches the show herself there are many show references, including one particularly aimed right at bronies.

Hey guys! I'm the one who submitted these pics to Seth.
Yeah, it's a novel, but like @raetekusu said it is definitely a short one. The story clocks in at 131 pages with about 5 pages in each chapter. But the writing definitely matches the quality of the show with plenty of references to past episodes and pony puns galore. Also Twi is in alicorn mode from the very beginning. Lastly, if anyone wants a copy and doesn't want to invade an elementary school just drop me a line at blameyourfatestudios@yahoo.com. The person at Scholastic who gave me the book is able to buy a few copies here and there pretty much whenever she wants.
