U.S. secretly backed Syrian opposition groups, cables released by WikiLeaks show
By Craig Whitlock, Published: April 17, 2011

The State Department has secretly financed Syrian political opposition groups and related projects, including a satellite TV channel that beams anti-government programming into the country, according to previously undisclosed diplomatic cables.

The London-based satellite channel, Barada TV, began broadcasting in April 2009 but has ramped up operations to cover the mass protests in Syria as part of a long-standing campaign to overthrow the country’s autocratic leader, Bashar al-Assad. Human rights groups say scores of people have been killed by Assad’s security forces since the demonstrations began March 18; Syria has blamed the violence on “armed gangs.”

Barada TV is closely affiliated with the Movement for Justice and Development, a London-based network of Syrian exiles. Classified U.S. diplomatic cables show that the State Department has funneled as much as $6 million to the group since 2006 to operate the satellite channel and finance other activities inside Syria. The channel is named after the Barada River, which courses through the heart of Damascus, the Syrian capital.

The U.S. money for Syrian opposition figures began flowing under President George W. Bush after he effectively froze political ties with Damascus in 2005. The financial backing has continued under President Obama, even as his administration sought to rebuild relations with Assad. In January, the White House posted an ambassador to Damascus for the first time in six years.

The cables, provided by the anti-secrecy Web site WikiLeaks, show that U.S. Embassy officials in Damascus became worried in 2009 when they learned that Syrian intelligence agents were raising questions about U.S. programs. Some embassy officials suggested that the State Department reconsider its involvement, arguing that it could put the Obama administration’s rapprochement with Damascus at risk.

Syrian authorities “would undoubtedly view any U.S. funds going to illegal political groups as tantamount to supporting regime change,” read an April 2009 cable signed by the top-ranking U.S. diplomat in Damascus at the time. “A reassessment of current U.S.-sponsored programming that supports anti-[government] factions, both inside and outside Syria, may prove productive,” the cable said.

I will not support a serial adulterer. ..nor do I not want as First Lady of the US a woman who knowingly committed adultery for 6 years..before her partner in adultery finally married her.

My nephew went to the hospital for emergency surgery for a appendectomy. The cost was $58,000. The hospital in LA demanded a payment of 1/4 up front. He had no insurance. His mom wrote the check. He was in the hospital for 4 days..but that was 10 years ago. What the hospital didn't tell him or his mother that the US government has a fund that they give to hospitals for services for patients who have no insurance. DEMOCRACYNOW did a program on this. I called my sister and told her..but it was too late..as she and her son had already signed a contract to pay the balance of the $58,000.

I used to think "old people" were silly to be afraid to go to hospitals...UNTIL..I read that over 100,000 Americans die every year as a result of avoidable mistakes that are made by hospital staffs.

When Ron Paul, along with Dennis Kucinich and Ralph Nader announced that Obama should be impeached for the invasion of Libya...he had my vote! Just think..if the US had stayed out of Libya..a reported 50,000 Libyan civilians might still be alive..including 30,000 Black Libyans who have "disappeared". Also...maybe there would have been no new government to declare Sharia Law.

From Black Agenda Reports:

“Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton appeared like ghoulish despots at a Roman Coliseum, reveling in their Libyan gladiators’ butchery.”

Last week the whole world saw, and every decent soul recoiled, at the true face of NATO’s answer to the Arab Spring. An elderly, helpless prisoner struggled to maintain his dignity in a screaming swirl of savages, one of whom thrusts a knife up his rectum. These are Europe and America’s jihadis in the flesh. In a few minutes of joyously recorded bestiality, the rabid pack undid every carefully packaged image of NATO’s “humanitarian” project in North Africa – a horror and revelation indelibly imprinted on the global consciousness by the brutes’ own cell phones.

Nearly eight months of incessant bombing by the air forces of nations that account for 70 percent of the world’s weapons spending, all culminating in the gang-bang slaughter of Moammar Gaddafi, his son Mutassim and his military chief of staff, outside Sirte. The NATO-armed bands then displayed the battered corpses for days in Misurata – the city that had earlier made good on its vow to “purge Black skin” through the massacre and dispersal of 30,000 darker residents of nearby Tawurgha – before disposing of the bodies in an unknown location.

There have been reports that the actual death toll among Iraqis as a result of the US invasion is over 1.2 million:
http://www.projectcensored.org/top-stories/articl...

Over one million Iraqis have met violent deaths as a result of the 2003 invasion, according to a study conducted by the prestigious British polling group, Opinion Research Business (ORB). These numbers suggest that the invasion and occupation of Iraq rivals the mass killings of the last century—the human toll exceeds the 800,000 to 900,000 believed killed in the Rwandan genocide in 1994, and is approaching the number (1.7 million) who died in Cambodia’s infamous “Killing Fields” during the Khmer Rouge era of the 1970s.

ORB’s research covered fifteen of Iraq’s eighteen provinces. Those not covered include two of Iraq’s more volatile regions—Kerbala and Anbar—and the northern province of Arbil, where local authorities refused them a permit to work. In face-to-face interviews with 2,414 adults, the poll found that more than one in five respondents had had at least one death in their household as a result of the conflict, as opposed to natural cause.

Dr. Lynette Long who wrote for NoQuarter.com, did detailed articles about "Caucus Problems" .... when Hillary was still in the race against Obama. There are still lawsuits outstanding.....which will probably remain outstanding evermore..all over the caucus states about how Clinton supporters were treated and denied the right to vote along with phony ballots and bus loads of 80 - 100 Blacks appearing just before closing at a polling place to vote where the black population was minuscule, and the persons at the polling places were ...too intimidated to say anything. ...This was even before the emergence of ACORN..and Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck and person registering 70 times for cash and cigarettes. If this was done to Dems who supported Hillary....does anyone still believe that this election was anything other than a fraud?

You need to post the rest of the story about Ms Ginger White:
http://www.nydailynews.com/news/politics/ginger-w...

The Atlanta woman who says she was Herman Cain’s mistress for 13 years is a down-on-her-luck single mom who once sued a former employer for sexual harassment.

Ginger White surfaced in bombshell fashion on Monday, telling an Atlanta TV station that she’s “not proud” of what she described as long-running sexual shenanigans with the married GOP White House contender.

“I didn’t want to come out this way,” she said in an interview with Atlanta’s FOX affiliate WAGA-TV that put Cain on the defensive even before it was aired.

White described herself in the interview as a jobless former businesswoman. She is middle-aged, has two children and was evicted from her Atlanta home earlier this month, according to a background check done by the TV station.

WAGA reporters also found records showing she has been hit with several eviction notices in DeKalb County, Ga., over the past six years.

She filed for bankruptcy 23 years ago, the station reported. In 2001, she also filed a sexual harassment suit, which was later settled, according to the station.

Her former business partner, Kimberly Vay, once sued her and accused her of stalking, the station reported.

Vay, who did not respond to calls for comment Monday, also sought an order of protection against White, charging that she was bombarded with emails and texts “threatening [a\] lawsuit” and defaming her character.

A judge ruled in favor of Vay in a libel suit she had filed against White, the station reported.

White admits she has struggled as a single mother, but added that her financial woes shouldn’t define her.

Unless they want their country to be invaded by US/NATO, and end up with thousands of civilians slaughtered and the bodies of their leaders dragged through the streets...they better get nukes up and ready ASAP!
