Fun episode, glad they're back!
No more baby bump hiding (but Alyson and Cobie's breasts were Huuuuuge... didn't you notice? I'm a girl but it still was striking to me!)

I'm a bit afraid for the "lonely Ted" part since now it will be 2+2+1 (who will be Ted's wingman???)... But I actually laughed more in the Ted scenes than in the rest of the epiode (P.R.O.F___?)
And we can still see wingman-outrageous Barney in flashback scenes (as the tuxedo night one)... sooo for now RoBarn is not that bad for the comic effect...

I'm totally sure Lilly has something to do with Mashall's Bro + hockey tickets comeback...

I was going to write exactly the same thing!
The two and a half men guy?.. Please!

Have you seen that short clip from the season premiere?
I love it and watched it at least 5 times (legendary moments inside), I'm more and more impatient!

See you for the recap & comments!

At first it was Lilly, but now it looks like new season = new Marshall haircut!

I, too, thought the (dream?) bride looked like Wendy the Waitress... what with the bridesmaid kitties? Can't wait!!

Hey that makes sense...
Or... it is not THE slutty pumpkin, but A slutty pumpkin!

(we must be crazy fans to start an intense questionement about a person we have seen for two seconds in the background of a flashback!)

I'm late here! Just rewatched it...

First: YAY for Slutty Pumpkin! Now we see how a pumpkin can be slutty, indeed.
(a scene to rewatch because I was distracted from nosferatu-marshall)

This episode wasn't that 'finale-ish' to me, it's good and it's ending the season 4 pretty well, but no big woooow! aaah!, or aaawwww!.. So this was a bit frustrating, but still the episode was good, I liked the scenes when they were all together in Ted's appartment like they used to (missed lilly!) and what dad-Ted says about That year.

For RoBarn, we just have to wait (too long!) and see...
"to Mosby the crap out of him", legendary, right?

Last "I love marshall" of the season, I can't help it:
They call him "the kid" and, in this episode, he looks just like a child!
The way he's dressed, the jumping hesitation, the "I am never.eating.ribs.again", the toy-swimming pool jaccuzzi... I love this kid trapped in that tall and -slightly- chubby guy.

I live in Europe, so...
..too bad I can't live-comment the episode with you guys...

About the woman you mentioned from Ted's past my guess is.... The slutty pumpkin?
(but that might be the picture-of-the-roof effect ;)
Enjoy the episode!

So much references in one post! Nice to be clear with all those theories...
You did a very good job writing this: I'm gonna miss the show so much this summer
/and/ I want to re-watch it too.

I agree with you on the 'dramatic over funny' thing. Which made it a good episode, but not legendary to me. Lilly & Marshall wedding episodes were, in my opinion, a perfect balance between the history part and the funny part.

So I'm a little disappointed for this pre-finale...

Agree, too, for the yellow umbrella... a little light... it's like they show the umbrella just to remind us "hey! It's still about meeting the mother! see!"
But it might not be over with Stella and Tony: Wil Stella be here at Ted's birthday party? What about Tony's screenplay... is there a happy end for Ted in it?

(I am critical, but there were LOL moments... like "Challenge accept- wait for it - *TED*", Robin's fistbump, or Let's go to the mall phone ring)

About Barney driving: doesn't he drive a sort of truck in a season 2 episode ("Moving day") where he hides Ted's stuff?

(It was a long comment... sorry again for my english writing skills!)
