Crown Law must have had a brain fart when they decided to pursue this. All it has done is lift your profile more. I also wonder when they are going to go after the administrators on the Trade Me blog, there is as much name suppression breaching on Trade Me and the breaches are much more blatant.

Cara... try telling someone who as been a victim of a crime by someone with over 130 convictions that rehabilition works... my guess is that they would have a differing opinion about the success of rehabilitation programmes
Judge Grant Fraser is not the only judge given name suppression after conviction. Judge Raynor Asher also gave name suppression to the two scum bags who killed Daryl Graydon. Very little reason was given for name suppression, both were 18 at the time of the murder, so at the age of legal responsibility. The giving of name suppression after conviction seems to becoming more and more prevalent and it is time that name suppression for those convicted of a crime, no matter what it is, ends. They have been convicted of a crime and no longer have any rights let alone that of name suppression.
Hmmmm a taste of things to come for non maori New Zealanders, should Maori ever be given rights to the foreshore and seabeds, i think!!!
isn't it amazing that scumbags like this still get bail. I was the victim of a crime and the person had over 125 convictions and was out on bail at the time. When is the judiciary going to learn and stop granting it for serious crimes.

Labour party members seem to forget they were in power for many (to many) years i didn't see them raising the minimum wage to $15.00 what a pack of hypocrits.. Isn't it amazing how politician change their tune when they are no longer in government. I bet if the labour were still in power the minimum wage rate wouldn't have been raised to $14.00 let alone $15.00, and if it had been they would just raised some other tax (like the petrol tax) to increase the tax take to help pay for more people to sit on their arses doing nothing all day
